  BTC stuck in pending
Posted by: Johnbelley - 02-17-2020, 11:52 AM - Forum: Blockchain Discussion - No Replies

I made two transactions to the same address. One was yesterday and took 2 hours to confirm. The one today to the same address is still pending and does not show in blockchain or others. Any idea what's going on? I've read many of the blogs but can't find one that applies to this issue. The transaction from yesterday was just fine.

Do transactions with low fee chance of getting confirmed increase with time? How does it work are transactions placed in a queue or something?  but if the fee is low wont people jump you in that queue forever ?

  My Unconfirmed transactions
Posted by: Alex - 02-17-2020, 11:45 AM - Forum: Blockchain Marketplace - No Replies

i use bitcoin core. i have 2 transactions from nov 7 that have not confirmed. a few days ago i sent another transaction and bumped my fee up to 0.00012. that transaction has not gone through either. at this point i had 3 transactions that have not gone through. i started to stress and thought something was wrong on my end. i re-installed windows and downloaded the blockchain again. all 3 of those transactions vanished from my transaction history. are those transactions definitely not going through? i hear after so long transactions get dropped/expired/rejected or something like that. however i also hear this is false information and all transactions get confirmed eventually. which is accurate?

i was reading segwit or lightning is suppose to help alleviate the slow confirmations and high fees. is this something that happens automatically or do users have to do something to make it work?

how do i determine what is an appropriate fee to pay?

Is there a faster way to check old wallet files then re scanning each one? It's taking a hour just to check one wallet.

Hey there..
i have an old wallet I used back than to get small amounts of satoshis frequently...
Now I saved up almost 0.019 BTC but so far I had no luck sending the amount somewhere else...
The fee is higher than the balance itself..
Not sure what to do. Is there any way to get some of it at least

I need your feed back on lightning mainnet
Posted by: Alex - 02-17-2020, 11:40 AM - Forum: Project Development - No Replies

Hi guys, i just finished writing a walktrough on how to download, initialse and fund eclair 0.3.5 on android, then open a channel and pay a very small fee on my mainnet lightning demo site... I wondered if anybody had some feedback for improvements? AFAIK, it's one of the first walktroughs for lightning payments on the mainnet, so i'm not sure if it's complete and newbie-friendly enough...

If nobody has any feedback, i'll probably start linking to the walktrough this evening.
